The Wizard’s Field Guide in Hogwarts Legacy

Hi there fellow Hogwarts students!  Today we’re going to talk about the Wizard’s Field Guide in Hogwarts Legacy. This little gem is your go-to hub for everything related to your progression in the game. It’s the place you check your inventory, level, challenges, and everything else you need to know about your journey through the magical world.

How to Access the Wizard’s Field Guide

To access the Wizard’s Field Guide, all you have to do is press pause on your controller. It’s as easy as that! But before we delve into the details of this handy tool, let’s talk a little bit about the backstory. In Hogwarts Legacy, you play as a fifth year student who has a lot of catching up to do when it comes to learning about magic and all things Hogwarts. That’s where the Wizard’s Field Guide comes in – it’s a gift from the Ministry of Magic to help you get up to speed with everything you need to know.

The Various Sections of the Wizard’s Field Guide

So what exactly can you find in the Wizard’s Field Guide? Let’s go through each section, page, and card to give you an idea.

Overall Level

First up, we have the overall level. This is where you can track your progress as you earn XP through combat, progress in the game story, quests, and more. You can also earn XP by finding secrets, such as collectibles, scattered throughout the world. It’s worth noting that the level icon also has a stress bar, which we’ll talk more about later.

Map

Next up is the map, which reveals the true scale of the open world beyond Hogwarts. While we don’t yet have confirmation on the exact size of the map, there have been hints that it is quite vast. This is definitely a feature to keep an eye on, as the ability to explore a large, immersive world is always a plus in an RPG.

Quests

In the quests tab, you can track your progress on the main quest, which is said to be an engaging story about the player’s unique ability to manipulate powerful ancient magic hidden in the wizarding world. This forgotten magic has resurfaced and it’s up to you to uncover who or what could be behind its resurgence, as well as those who might be seeking to harness it for their own purposes.

But the main quest isn’t the only thing you’ll find in the quests tab. Hogwarts Legacy is full of fully voiced quests that can be found throughout the castle and beyond. And here’s the really exciting part: each quest has multiple choices for the player to make, meaning that the game has multiple endings and offers a unique experience for every player. This means that the replayability of Hogwarts Legacy is off the charts!

Posts

The posts tab is a system we don’t know much about yet, but it’s likely to function like any in-game messaging system. This is where you’ll be notified of certain instances of progression tied to things you’re doing or have yet to discover in Hogwarts.

Settings

The settings tab is pretty self-explanatory – it’s where you can adjust your game settings to your liking.

Challenges

The challenges tab is where you’ll find an overall progression tracker for the player within Hogwarts. It’s divided into five further tabs: combat challenges, quests, exploration, field guide, and stress.

Combat Challenges

In the combat challenges tab, you can track your progress on specific goals related to combat. This could be anything from defeating a certain number of enemies to using certain spells

Quests

The quests tab within the challenges section is similar to the standalone quests tab, but it specifically tracks your progress on challenges related to quests. This could include completing a certain number of quests within a certain time frame or completing quests in a particular way.

Exploration

The exploration tab is all about discovering new places and secrets within the world of Hogwarts Legacy. This could include finding hidden collectibles, reaching certain locations, or completing certain activities.

Field Guide

The field guide tab within the challenges section is a bit of a mystery, as we don’t know exactly what it will track. It’s possible that it could be related to your overall progress within the Wizard’s Field Guide itself, such as completing certain pages or cards.

Stress

Finally, the stress tab within the challenges section tracks your progress on managing your character’s stress levels. As we mentioned earlier, the level icon has a stress bar, and it’s important to keep an eye on this as you play. Stress can affect your character’s abilities and decision-making, so it’s important to find ways to reduce it, such as by completing stress-reducing activities or using certain items.

Wrapping Up

That’s everything you need to know about the Wizard’s Field Guide in Hogwarts Legacy! As you can see, it’s a vital tool for tracking your progress and staying on top of your journey through the game. Whether you’re focusing on combat challenges, completing quests, exploring the world, or managing your stress levels, the Wizard’s Field Guide has you covered. So make sure to keep an eye on it as you play, and happy wizarding!
